Proper Subdivision Levels with Ctrl+1/2/3/0 Shortcut in Blender (Subd Fix)
Intro:
When you use Ctrl+1-5 to set Subdivision Levels, the Render value should match the Viewport value. This addon fixes the default behavior, no more surprises when you're hitting the render button!
This simple yet effective Blender add-on overrides the default behavior of the Ctrl + 1 shortcut when adding a Subdivision Surface modifier, setting both the Viewport and Render Levels to 1. It works for Ctrl + 2 and Ctrl + 3 and Ctrl + 0 as well, of course.
UPDATE: Works from 0-5 levels now. Shortcuts updated as well!
Key Features:
Simplify your workflow with a more intuitive default subdivision level for both the viewport and render.
No more unnecessary high-resolution renders, saving you time and resources.
Seamless integration with Blender's native user interface and hotkey system.
How it works:
By default, Blender sets the viewport level to 1 and the render level to 2 when you use the Ctrl + 1 shortcut. This add-on modifies this behavior by setting both levels to 1, making it easier to manage your scene's complexity and reducing the likelihood of rendering high-resolution models by mistake.
Once installed and activated, the add-on automatically overrides the default Ctrl + 0-1-2-3 behavior.
