Select by Minimum Vertices Count Add-On for Blender
Here is a tool to select objects by their viewport vertex amount. It keeps the objects selected if they meet the minimum amount you set in the Side Menu (Vertices Counter). You can toggle "Run on Selected" to check only your current selection or turn it off to run the check on all visible objects.
Try it, it's fast! Check the DEMO here, where I work on a huge scene with 3,266 objects.
This addon takes into account any added modifiers, like Subdivision, so you can work faster to simplify your scenes or identify heavy objects that might be slowing things down.
What You Get:
- Set Your Vertices Limit: Enter your desired vertex count, and the addon will select all objects that meet or exceed that count.
- Choose Your Mode: Easily switch between checking just selected objects or all visible ones.
- Instant Feedback: See which objects fit your criteria right away without any hassle.
- What about the SPEED? It's surprisingly fast to run. See the test scene on the screenshots.
- It works on Curves and Geometry Nodes as well. If you use my Array Objects to Curves Add-On, you're safe.
Who’s This For?
- Game Developers: Quickly clean up your models to improve performance.
- 3D Artists: Manage scene complexity effortlessly.
- Animators: Ensure your assets are ready before starting on animations.
How to Use:
Install it in the Add-Ons panel, check the Side Panel (N), or simply invoke the command by searching for "Select by Minimum Vertex Amount," and a popup will appear with the same settings. Click to Run on Selected / All Visible Objects.
